OUR HISTORY

1938

Company Was Founded – Concrete ASAP, formerly Jerry McKinley Concrete Pipe Company, was founded in 1938 by Monroe Ferrell.* As a recent graduate of Baylor University, Ferrell realized the increased demand for precast concrete culverts, catch basins and other concrete products in the fast-growing Houston area, yet at the time there were only a handful of concrete pipe manufacturers within Texas. Through excellent customer service and manufacture of outstanding and quality-tested products, the Monroe Ferrell Pipe Company soon became the No. 1 supplier of Reinforced Concrete Pipe in south Texas.

1957

Jerry McKinley – In 1957, Ferrell hired an apprentice by the name of Jerry McKinley. Recognizing Jerry McKinley’s innovative thinking, along with attention to quality and product detail, he quickly became one of Monroe Ferrell’s most valuable and trusted employees. Over the years, Monroe Ferrell and Jerry McKinley continued to build an outstanding precast concrete business, supplying quality products to general contractors, land developers, commercial and residential builders, and other markets throughout Houston and the surrounding area. Offering a wide range of reliable concrete products, ranging from Reinforced Concrete Pipes, sample wells and lids, catch basins, sloped-ends, water drains and car stops to risers, saddles, well plugs and a wide variety of cast iron frames and grates.

1976

Ferrell sells company to McKinley – Monroe Ferrell sold the pipe manufacturing business to Jerry McKinley in 1976. Like Ferrell, McKinley based his business on the manufacturing of excellent products in combination with the highest standard of customer service. In addition to his customers in the construction and private sector, Jerry McKinley Concrete Pipe Company secured a countless number of construction supply contracts with governmental entities, including the Houston, Pasadena, League City, Conroe, as well as Harris County and surrounding counties.

2014

Concrete ASAP Purchases McKinley Concrete Pipe Company – In 2014, Concrete ASAP purchased the Jerry McKinley Concrete Pipe Company; however, Concrete ASAP is still committed to the same business principles and values, along with the product quality and customer service that have made our company successful over its 80-year history. Concrete ASAP is committed to using transformational change and innovation to continue as a leader in the industry.
